Brake Fluid

DO...
  • collect brake fluid in a separate, marked, closed container
  • determine by testing whether your brake fluid is hazardous, and manage it accordingly
  • check with your used oil hauler to see if mixing brake fluid with used oil is a problem.

DON'T...
  • spray brake cleaner around brake fluid
  • pour brake fluid down any drain or on the ground

Normally brake fluid is not hazardous. However, it can become hazardous when contaminated with brake cleaner from a spray can.
