• have the sludge tested by a state licensed laboratory when pumped out. Keep all testing records for 3 years.
  
• contract with a permitted hazardous waste hauler to manage your sludge waste properly if it is determined to be a hazardous waste
  

• put hazardous sludge in the trash dumpster or on the ground
  
• use a septic tank pumping service to remove this sludge
